Eyelash Extensions in Color

'Tis the season...to be wild! You can have some serious fun with your extensions. At My Lash Girl we carry brown, green, yellow, blue, red and purple extensions. These can be successfully blended with your black extensions to create a more festive look. For blonds, brown extensions might be a color of preference since it complements their natural complexion and hair color but regardless of your coloring we say "GO WILD!"

Extension Horrors

I have now had two people with terrible eyelash extension experiences. Neither one received their extensions from me but I now have them as faithful clients because I was able to show them a better way to extend lashes.

Both, incidentally, went to the same Salt Lake Salon to receive their "cluster extensions". Those are of course not the true extensions because they are not glued individually onto your lashes but, instead are placed on top of your lash line in a clump. It takes just a few of these clumps to fill your lash line and the average price for this service is about $40. The client will then come in about once a week and more clumps will be glued on top of the left over existing ones.

The picture I have here is that of a seventeen year old girl after a month of "cluster extensions". She called me in a panic on a Monday saying she got my number from a salon her mom goes to and wouldn't I please remove her eyelash extensions. She told me where she got them and that she hated them because not only do they look very fake but they are also ripping out her lashes. When I saw this girl three days later for an eyelash removal appointment I thought that ugly would be an understatement when describing this extension job. I could see that this mess of clusters was all stuck together and on the outside corner of her right eye the clusters had come away from her lash line with all of her natural lashes ripped out with their roots.

It took about twenty minutes of gentle work with a special eyelash adhesive remover and in the end her lash line was free of the clusters but, alas, it was free of her own lashes as well.

None the less, this girl was ecstatic to have the awful mess removed and believe it or not, she did indeed look better lash less than she did with the clusters.

It will be about six month before she has her lashes back and in the mean time she knows not to go to a salon on Highland drive located next to Excape Day Spa and Riches Bagels that stars with Hair...

My other client after using an eyelash growth product for a year was able to get real eyelash extensions done by My Lash Girl and is now a very happy lady.

Please note that "clusters" are not eyelash extensions and will damage your lashes indefinitely.
